I know the Kelly loader on my '66 Farmall 504 will lift more than the front end on the tractor can handle and it has 2 and 1/4" cylinders on it. I use it often to move 2,000 baleage round bales in the yard to the feeder although you have to take it slow. I think a 656 would work great on any loader as long as you don't rush your shifts.
