Bought The 51 Cub Today

Well guys I had to mortaged the wife and sell the dog but I bought that 51 cub today.I hope when you guys said it was a great deal at a grand it really is. Oh it also has a belly mount sickle bar mower besides the land plow,snow plow, cultivators, and buz saw. I told the guy to drag it out and let me know when its ready to go. I have one question at this point? what is a L head design. I noticed it was a Flat head I guess but whats the real difference between the letter series tractor motors and this F CUB motor?
