HI John, Sorry, I haven't got a clue as to how they worked, but can offer that I've seen a lot of fields being turned by those old one-ways and they always came out of the ground on the corners. They they would then go back and catch the unturned "Xs". Don't ever remember seeing those guys crawl down off the tractor during the proceedure either. Allan

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
