This is what i have done on a couple. Remove the sediment bowl assy and replace with a hose fitting and run rubber fuel hose to a see thru in-line filter then hose to the carb. The FRAM se-thru in-line are only couple bucks and easy to change and sooner or later junk will be in the filter. They are easy to change.
