Hi Jerry, Remove No1 sparkplug and hold your thumb over the plug hole while somone slowly
cranks over the engine until you feel compression
against your thumb. When you feel compression stop turning the engine and look to see where your
timing mark on crankshaft pulley is located. It should be near the pointer. Slowly crank the engine until these are aligned with one another.
Remove disributor cap and see if the rotor is at No1. If it isn't remove distributor and rotate
rotor to No1. Set point gap to .020". Hal
