Hi Roe, does your parking brake still work? One of the major problems with this series of IH tractors is that the parking brake warning lamp fails and then the tractor is driven with the parking brake on which results in the parking brake band being chewed to bits. These bits of parking brake are inside the transmission and get sucked into the hydraulic system clogging it up. There is a splitter valve mechanism that regulates the flow of hydraulic oil to power steering, power brakes and 3 pt. The parking brake bits will clog this up and cause problems. It is under your left foot stand by the hydraulic filter. I don't have my shop manual as I lent it to my nephew, so mabe someone else will tell you where it is and how to clean and check. Good luck JB
