Yea sometimes a different set of eyes, you know how it goes. I was playing with my hydraulics all weekend. So I kind of have it on the brain. Somehow I got mine working by just dumb luck. I had no idea what I was doing but finally figured it out. I have a Farmall M wth an M&W pump on it plumbed to nowhere in a circle. The sump was empty for god knows how long. Now I have an M with live hydraulics to a cylinder and a spare valve for a three point I want to put on it. Now that I know the pump works I don't mind spending the money on a three point hitch.
