340 U steering box

hello again and thanks for responses...took box off worked on adjusting pad and then put it back seems that I have I leak coming from the expansion plug.....took it off again and decided to tap around the edges of the plug with a cold chisel to set it better then cleaned it well and applied silicon so far no leaks but it is not pressured up...or is there any pressure there ...seems that this oil is just for lubrication and not a pressure hydraulic situation..... has anyone done this..what do you think....thanks...ken
