We had a '48 H when I was a kid. It had the one-way cylinders on the loader. I don't remember there being a problem with it running low on oil. That was many, many, many years ago. Memory sometimes has a way of tricking us. For the loaders that were designed for the H, I think that there shouldn't be any problems with the volume. Just do like riverbend does and cycle the cylinders. Just don't fill it with the loader raised all of the way up or you will definitely have a full reservoir when you lower it again.
