i recently sold a 300 and bought a 706 with the money. i bought the 706 from a guy who had bought it blown up. it was a diesel, and thats what he did, was to swap the d282 motor from a combine. i think he said it was a 715 or something. i dont know much about combine numbers. anyhow 06's and 656's both used 282. keep the glow plugs working and they arent as bad as everyone says they are. and they are great on fuel.
