Most carb kits include a new rubber-tipped needle valve for the float. This rubber tip will often stick into the seat even when the float drops away, blocking fuel flow into the bowl. Especially if she sets for awhile between running. If you find this is the problem, use a good fuel stabilizer, and rap GENTLY on the carb body when it sticks. Better yet make a new solid brass needle.
