I would walk with caution. The hyd filter is on the right side below the platform. I would look at the filter really close and if the powersteering does not work there is a pump attached to the inside of the MCV valve that supplies the TA-steering-and a few other things this is a $200 pump. I just had one put on my 806 at the dealers and it cost nearly $500 installed with new hy-tran and filter. I am no expert but have written a few large checks out for hyd repairs on those farmalls and they were never cheap. I honestly doubt that a filter will be a cure all but hopefully it will.
