A front axle

while cruising back roads today saw farmall A with a 16a mower in the weeds and brush.nobody home,but left name and number so who knows? the front axle had what looked like a reinforcer kit on it.two pieces of ''angle iron'' bolted to axle with all corresponding holes for adjustment,then a ''brace ''on the right side running from that back to bellhousing area.this dosen't look like a cob job.anybody ever see any others like this?jus wnodering?
