David, I can't remember their model #'s, but we had one cultivator, which we swapped back and forth between an M and an H. It was a two row 38"/40" row spacing model. I watched the dealer rep and my dad put it together right out of the crate; took all of one day, as I recall. We used it to cultivate corn and potatoes for many years. Later, we bought a four-row "fast hitch" design for use with the 400D, which was a total rear mount, of course. It was with this later cultivator that we began to see that the fast hitch was on it's way out. The implements were just getting too darned heavy for this design. For sugar beets and beans we had still another belly mount model in a six-row 22" design. We mounted this cultivator on the H. Anyway, my point being that all of these cultivators had the same identical color schemes (and they covered quite a number of years). They really looked sharp when new and I do remember the yellow decals with black lettering being on the implements, but as to what they were, what they said and were they were placed escapes me. Too many years gone by. It always struck me odd that replacement parts could end up being any old color, blue, black or red....maybe it was the color of the day when these parts were manufactured. Dunno. Hope this helps, Allan

The difficulty with all those "theory of operation" texts is that they border on principles of electricity or physics and such. Since I know nothing of either, you will have to put up with looking at the common sense side of how generators work which means we "
