Greetings all -- I recently picked up my first IH and thanks to a little help from you fine folks she's now running well. I'm a bit confused about the history of IH and of the use of (apparently) both the IH and the McCormick names. Mine is a '47 Cub, previous owner had painted and decaled it. Decal says "McCormick Farmall Cub" with the IH logo on sides of hood and the IH logo on the nose. I've read the few paragraphs on this site and that leads me to believe that IH was formed pre-1905 and has existed 'till the merger with Case. That being the case, then what's up with the McCormick name being used sometimes, and with separate listings on some boards for Farmalls? I just want to understand a little better, and to be sure my Cub is "properly dressed." Many thanks, Pete P. Harborcreek, Penna.
