well depends on what he wants,if you can get it for 4-500 bucks you really can't go wrong,when i bought my 460 the salvage yard offered them 1300 for it and they said if i wanted it for that it was mine,i figured if it eventually had major problems i could always sell it to the salvage yard and not lose much if any money,i know a friend of mine bought a 460 diesel and it ended up having a cracked head,all said and done they paid 800 for the tractor and time the head was done and on another 1000.so it adds up in a hurry on the diesels.
