It really doesn't matter what is in there now. If you don't know the history of the oil changes it would be a good idea to change the oil and filter right away. Personally I would change all of the fluids. The price of new oil/grease is cheap compared to the price of repairs. If you are not sure if it has had detergent oil in it or not you may want to change the oil and filter again after a moderate amount of use. The detergent oil could loosen up a lot of the sludge and stuff that has been sitting around for a long time. When I bought my C I didn't have any apparent leaks until I filled everything back up to the proper levels. Numerous gaskets and seals later I magaged to get them to stop leaking.
