My Grandfather and Uncle called them "side-hill hitches but I think that JD calls them "landing levers." In any event, they do the same thing.

I'm not sure about building one; they can be bought and they are out there but they are becoming a little scarce. I have one for my super H and Super M and a JD on for my B, A, and 70. In fact, our club had a plow day Saturday and my son used the 70 with side hill hitch all day.
