Matt: Of the items changed you didn't mentioned condencer. Just could be problem. Carb could also be doing this. Don't rule it out. I had problems once with SA, slightly different problem from yours, in that it would just stop if tractor hit a bump on road, or any other jolt to tractor. The distributor shaft was worn. This had to be machined and a bushing added. They don't have bushings when new. I just mention this one as I can see it acting differently on each tractor.
