What causes this on a 400? I have replaced the clutch/ TA and some transision gears. The clutch linkage is adjusted to the manual specs. It grinds when shifting from R to 1st the worst. 2nd is not so bad. I would assume that I still need some fine tuning of the clutch linkage. Because shouldnt the transmision gears not be turning at all when you ingage the clutch? I do have some play in the clutch pedal. It slops from side to side so maybe I need to have a little more push in the pedal to compessate. Just wondering what you guys have done.
