Trailer Plough Sprung?

I know where there is an IH trailer plough locally, it has a fixed tailwheel so far as I know. At some stage in its life it has been dropped and several of the links on the left hand side are bent. I reckon that with the help of the local blacksmith those parts can be straightened and I can fix the remaining problems due to corrosion myself. It is a 2 furrow, steel wheeled plough which was ordered new with a Farmall H. How can I tell if the plough beams are sprung and what else should be checked before attempting to fix something like this? Thanks, SAm in NS
