Trip plow trouble

I plowed a couple gardens yesterday with my 37 F20. First one was on fescue sod. Im pulling a #8 2-14 trip and the old F20 and plow does a good job even on that sod. Next garden was bare soil. Half way through the lift mechi. on the plow wont cycle. The plow starts to raise then the tire just slides and bounces along 20-30 ft before completeing lift. Ive had this plow several years and probly plowed 20 acres with out any problems. I know very little about working on these plows because it never needed fixing. Thanks for all inputs.
