Hugh, I think it best to go to a dealer and buy the mounting bracket from Woods. The angles on the idler pulleys has to be just so for the belt to run correctly. I used a Woods L 59 first on a Super A and then on a 140 for around 20 years to mow my property. I suppose there is both an L-59 and a 59 mower by Woods. The difference is in the throw or blade rotation. The L mower throwing to the left. Thus the blade mounting shafts have left hand threads. I got the belt on wrong once and the shafts were turning backwards. Threw one of the blades off in short order. Thankfully no damage. As I recall the bracket with the idler pulleys mounts to the front mounting holes on the final drives. There is a bar accross (maybe a piece of 2 inch pipe) that the piece holding the idler pulleys is welded to. Two heavy bars on each side extend downward. These have holes for pinning the bars that push the mower. My opinion on the gage wheels is that they are essential to get any kind of decent mowing job.
