Stan, Be sure you have gotten all of the old square rubber rings out of the oil filter base. I've seen as many as three stacked on top of each other. Sometimes the old rubber rings are so hard you think you've reached the bottom of the oil filter base but there is still another old ring in there.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
