Purchasing a Farmall Super MD

This is a quick question for guys who have seen these. I have only seen them in passing and have heard that they are tough to work on/restore. Is this true? A guy is offering to sell me one. I know that they are kind of rare but is it worth it from a parts standpoint. Am I going to be throwing my money into a pit for something that I can't maintain? What should I look for BEFORE I buy this/If I buy it? Do any of you know someone who can restore this? The engine and transmission are good. Just needs paint and comsmetics...
