Oiler Gear Gone On 1940 Farmall A Tractor

Is there anybody out there that knows how to take gear box apart so I can replace the oiler gear on this tractor model? The way I read my shop manual it is a job that falls under basic procedures it looks very difficult to me. I really need some advice. Thanks
