Amen to that! These old Farmall/IH tractors seem to last forever. I know of many still in use today. When restoring my '44 M I only had to replace 2-3 bearings in trans, everything else was OK, and it had really been used and abused as the only tractor for years on several hundred acres.Also tractor was operated by hired help, not the owner, hence the rough condition. With new bearings & bushings in bolster, it drives as good as new. They were built to last.
