H starter switch

Where was the 1941 H starter switch mounted on the tractor? I just aquired a 41 H and it is mounted behind the steering post. Someone put a bolt through the post to engage the switch. This seems pretty crude. What was the stock set up? I have seen the post mounted across from the light switch box and some M's with the foot lever on the post to engage the switch at the rear. Like to know the correct setup for the 41 H.
