The IH models that were made for the 434,444 and 384 were the 1501 and the 1550. The 1501 had only single acting cylinders on the arms (no down force). The 1550 had double acting cylinders and had down force. Have had both loaders and they are great loaders for that tractor. The 1550 is better if you are digging holes. I assume there also was an industrial model to fit your 2444. Good hunting JB

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
