If you are talking about a small, pulse-type electric fuel pump, they are self-limiting to a specific pressue, usually between 2 and 8 psi, depending on model number. If you are talking about a vane or gerotor type pump, as is used in racing or fuel injection applications, these normally need a separate regulator.
