Greg: My first reaction is you need new points. Once plow points become worn off badly they start to act like a sled runner and will actually ride the plow right out of the ground. You put on a new set and you will find yourself running out of adjustment in the opposite direction. One thing I quite often do is go to a truck spring shop, and get some short ends of 2.5 to 3 inch spring about 8 to 10 inches long. Weld them on the old point or share straight down along the land side of point lying flat on top of the current point. You extend them out about 3 to 4 inches beyond where point is worn. Best way to do this is have a new point to go by. Actually all you are trying to do is extend point back to original length. Put the curve of the spring down. You really can only do this once, maybe twice and the right side of point or share will be worn off. Any questions just ask.
