Amen to that, I was told (from an IH mechanic!) that the German built tractors were far more reliable than the 'Doncaster Dustbins' that were been produced just at that time. I know of one or two around me (IH enthusiasts at that ) were really put off IH due to unreliable tractors coming from that factory.
