I have a 424 IH with the CharLynn torque generator power steering unit that is fed off of a flow divider from the main pump. I am planning to install a separate pump for the power steering, because the flow divider bleeds a steady flow of a couple of gallons a minute from the hydraulic system, reducing the flow available to the 3 point, or remote valves.

Before you decide go do the flow divider route, be aware that you will loose flow in the main system.

As far as adjustments, if you get the proper flow divider for power steering use, it is pre-set, and there are no adjustments to be made.
