I've got an H with a "250 Do-All" all hydraulic loader mounted on it. The loader and 3pt hitch is powered by a pto pump. Problem is, I want to run a 3pt mounted brush mower... and the pump is in the way. I know I could use the lift-all pump to run the 3pt- but I don't want to constantly remove the pto pump when I want to hook up to the mower. I don't think the lift-all pump has enough capacity to run both the loader and 3pt. So the question is: Can I run the pto pump off the side belt pulley pto? I know it won't be "live" but it will make the tractor much easier to start in the winter- at least I can let the engine warm up before I turn on the hydraulics. Or should I mount a pump off the side of the engine and run off the crankshaft pulley? How can I disable the system for cold weather use?
