Last summer I had to remove the exhaust manifold on my C. I sprayed it with penetrating oil and let it sit about a day. I also re-applied penetrating oil a couple of times during the wait. The nuts just turned right off with a standard 3/8" rachet and socket. I didn't really have to put much pressure on it. If you have an impact wrench you may try hitting it with a low setting. Try impacting both to tighten and loosen. The vibration will break the rust bond. Just don't get too carried away.
