My M is a 47 I think this one is about the same year. It has the battry under the gas tank and it is 6 volt. I am thinking pretty hard on buying it like you said the parts I need are spendy. I know of another M with a good motor but the steering gear up by the radiator came apart and he wants to get it out of his yard. M aybe I could put them to gether and make one out of two. todd
