Aftermarket Farmall emblem

I recently finished my H and I ran into a simple problem I wanted to pass along. I purchased a new Farmall emblem for the front grill. I took for granted it would screw right on. After I finished painting and applying the decals I discovered that when I screwed the emblem on it stuck out about half an inch, and the inside was not cut correctly to match the rib in the grill. It wasn't that hard to modify the emblem and drill new holes, but I sure wish I would have done it before I had all of that fresh paint sprayed on! (yes,,,,,,,,I scratched it) If you buy a new emblem, fit it before you paint. Learning the hard way.
