I think you'll find that he can put in thinner sleeves to give a 3 1/4" bore. During the production of the Super A they started fitting the C-123 block (as in the Super C) around 1951 or 1952. They kept the bore at 3" by using very thick sleeves which my 1953 Super A has. So far as I know these blocks and all those following SA-1, 100, 130, and 140 can all be taken out to 3 1/4" with thinner sleeves. Hope this helps. SAm in NS
