Background I have a farmall AV and have installed lights, gen etc. The starter i have is not original and has solenoid as opposed to pull lever. I have installed a "momentarily on" push switch to act as the starter switch. Question. How should this be wired up. Solenoid to one terminal and where should the other go? Next question. How do i test that the generator is actually charging? When i have the lights on (tractor not running) it shows discharge which would seem right. When tractor is running the dial still shows discharge but the needle flicks every now and again. I have a meter. What terminals do i test aginest and what reading should i expect. battery was fully charged when installed. Photo to follow of finished product.
