There are what appears to be 2 freeze plugs on the back of the engine (at least on my 1950 C)but one of them is actually just a cover over the end of the Cam bore that keeps the oil from pumping out the back of the motor. If you stand and look at the back of the engine, the plug at about the 2 o'clock position is the cam bore cover and the one at the 10 o'clock position is a freeze plug for the water jacket.
