If I remember correctly, the SMTA was offered in factory propane. The tank could be a replacement or the tractor could've been converted later. In Texas, there are a lot of propane tractors of all colors. It was a very popular conversion for about 20 -30 years when propane was cheaper than gas by about half or more. Try your local library to see if they have any books on tractors. You might get lucky and find a photo to compare yours to to see if it is factory or not. Phil
