I just dealt with this problem with my M. It finally would
not start. What I found was a broken spring on the
weights in the distributor and the post they set over
were worn 1/2 the way through. I replaced it with
another distributor and she fired on the 2nd crank and
runs and starts much much much better. New parts can
be found and replaced with ease. Just my experience. -
