Shad,
The crankshaft pulley is a press fit on the crankshaft, it is a .0015-.002 press fit, making it difficult to remove. You will need a split bearing puller to remove it. You will position the puller on the back of the pulley using care not to crack the outside groove. Also sometimes the use of heat will help it break free.You can get a puller at NAPA or through Northern etc.
