Flasher Unit on 856

Anyone here know where the flasher unit is located on a 1968 856D. Not by the neutral safety switch by clutch. My dad's been looking up and down on his 856 and can't find it.

Seems his 856 was modified with an add on blinker.

Any ideas would be helpful.
