The 404 crimps nice,, but shears pins in heavy hay ,,,they sell cheap here,,I mean REALLY cheap,, I bought two of them for 10 bucks,, both in great shape,, I gave them away,,I seldom crimp hay unless it is really green after a day or so,,I have a farmhand crimper I use,,it has steel rollers and is a beats,, but it does a great job ,, guy that gave it to me was using it to remove anthills from his field..he would start the crimper then drag it over the hills,.I have 2 JD crimpers ,,one is good one is Parts, I dont use it either, should sell it......Jim
