Thanks for your response. I've fully recharged the battery to 12.5 volts and with engine running at any speed it still reads 12.5volts DC. After running the Tractor for about 2 hours when I read across the battery it reads 7.5 Volts and I can't restart with the battery unless jump started. Actually what I'm confused about is what at this point is keeping the Tractor running after being jump started, the battery or generator?? I also replaced the coil with a 12 volt coil with no internal resistor. Can I pull the battery leads off while the Tractor is running and read across them without damaging anything??
