Growing up on a small farm in VT, we had an n series Ford - quite a step up from the horse and doodlebug. I barely remember a JD with steel wheels. The neighbors bought a 300U in the mid 50's and what a tractor that was, compared to the Ford. Many years later I bought a 300U at an auction, for old times sake. I plow a little snow with it in the winter and drag out some logs in the summer. It still is a stout tractor.
