Hi again, if the loader is plumbed correctly as I described both the loader and 3 pt can be active at the same time. There were other cheaper methods of plumbing the loader where the Remote outlet was used in front of the seat and the ON/OFF valve at the front of the seat was closed.
If this method was used then only the loader or the 3pt hitch could be used depending on the valve setting. One of our other neighbors had a 444D with a non IH loader on it and it was plumbed the cheap way. How heavy are your round bales ? Connected to the 3pt hitch pump the 1500 loader will lift about 1500 lbs or more if you add a dime to the relief valve in the loader controls.
But unless you have sufficient weight on the rear the rear end will go in the air. Also the front end was not build to stand 2000 lbs.
