Ken, after having the lo-boy I doubt that you will be happy with a taller tractor for yard mowing. I have tried lots of other approaches but I return to the underpowered lo-boy. I am going to modify my deck real soon to where the front (at mowing height) is slightly lower than the back. Now it is about level. I feel this modification will enhance the mowing capability as only the leading edge will be in contact will the grass, thus reducing the horsepower required to drive the blades. If I could get a few more horses out of this machine, I would be happy maintaining the tractor and using it as long as I need a mower. I have even considered adding a second engine just to power the deck but I like how quite it is now. Try what you are considering to buy before you sell your lo-boy. Good luck
