Nick, I have a IH 2444 with 2050 loader. I really like it, and it is a tough little beast, however with that said the 2050 loader is a bit much for an industrial 444 tractor. I have a nice 3 point steel counterweight ( 1 Ton) and the rears loaded, it still is a bit light in the rear with a full bucket of gravel on it. I would go with the Case for your use as I believe it is better designed for loader/backhoe work. The Case should also be easier to get parts for, some parts for the 2444/444 are getting more difficult to find, as this series of tractor was only made for about 5 years. Good luck :)
